Environmental Policy

Ozone Conferencing Limited exists to help businesses cut down on harmful carbon emissions and therefore it makes sense to do everything we can to help protect the environment as we conduct business.

The guidelines are published here so that all employees are aware of expected behavior and so other companies may see how simple it can be for companies to help reduce their impact on the world's resources.

Travel and postal services

Ozone Conferencing Limited is committed to reducing unnecessary business travel for our customers and also internally.

Our strategy has two distinct elements. Firstly, reducing the need for travel through the use of our own advanced audio and web conferencing technologies and secondly, when travel is necessary, the use of the lowest impact means of transport possible.

Travel

• Ozone Conferencing Limited conducts the majority of its business by email and on the 'phone and via the web to reduce the requirement for travel.

• Where travel is required, journeys are planned to combine several meetings in order to minimise total amount of travel required.

• Flying on business is banned within the UK except in exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement with management.

• Ozone Conferencing Limited's executives travel using the following means in order of preference: foot, cycle, public transport, motor bicycle and private car. Sharing transport is actively encouraged.

• Company travel will be reimbursed at inland revenue agreed rates which include rates for use of bicycles and shared transport.

Postal Services

• Ozone Conferencing staff use electronic formats wherever possible to cut down on paper usage.

• Where possible, double-sided printing is used to reduce the weight of hard copy shipments.

Recycling

Ozone Conferencing engage in recycling where it makes environmental sense to do so.

Paper

Although paper is still necessary for business use, we are committed to a policy whereby only critical documents are printed, all paper is reused where possible on the reverse and, ultimately, 100% of paper used is recycled.

Ozone Conferencing's employees:

• Only use paper which is either recycled or comes from a sustainable source.

• Use double sided printing whenever possible.

• Save paper printed on one side for subsequent re-use.

• Only print paper when necessary to send to business contacts or where extensive checking on a computer screen is undesirable for health and safety reasons.

• Shred all confidential documents and have the paper recycled.

Ink cartridges, mobile phones, computers and peripherals

• Ozone Conferencing employees recycle the above goods where it is appropriate to do so.

Workplace/home energy efficiency

Ozone Conferencing is committed to attaining greater efficiency in total energy consumption and continuing to examine the possibility of acquiring energy from "green sources and equipment".
